To the Editor: During the presidential campaign in 2000, my husband, Bill, was chair of the Grafton County Republican Party. We hosted a breakfast for Sen. John McCain in Franconia and a cocktail party for Mrs. McCain and Mrs. Bush at the Hop in Hanover.
