Another View -- Donna Sytek: Legislature should override Sununu's veto of parole reform bill
STUNNED. Astonished. Puzzled. This was my reaction to the news that Gov. Chris Sununu had vetoed House Bill 143 relative to recommittal of prisoners by the parole board. This simple bill would allow parolees with a drug problem to go to residential treatment instead of back to prison.
